Winter Recap

Well, we have just started our new blog.....this definitely seems easier than the site we were previously using.....I thought I would give you a winter recap to see what we have been up to. As you know, we are expecting baby #3, so our New Year's Eve celebration was pretty much non-existant (but with small kids, it's not really much of a celebration anymore!!). We did start the year off with a bang.....in early January, we found out that we are expecting another girl! I think Stephen is most excited that Langston will have a sister to bug so she'll leave him alone! The kids enjoyed their first snow in January. Of course this is Alabama, so the "snow storm" was more of a light dusting, but the kids didn't know the difference and had a great time playing in it

In February we put a contract on a new house and began the headache of selling ours! Yes, some days I too believe we are crazy! The house is great, needs some work and TLC, but we are excited to have found a house to raise our family in and be settled for a long time. We got our house on the market around the second week in March and were blessed with a very quick sale. We got a contract on the house in 2 weeks, just as I took the kids to the beach for Spring Break. The beach was a bit cold & windy, but it was nice to be at the beach. Stephen and Langston had a great time playing in the sand and I enjoyed taking it easy for a few days (or as easy as you could with 2 small kiddos!!).

Easter was fun for the Lilly's. The children loved hunting eggs....especially if they had candy in them! It was funny to watch them pick up the eggs and shake them to make sure there was something in them!

Stephen is still obsessed with trains and was so excited when we told him we were going to see Thomas the Tank Engine when he came to the Heart of Dixie Railroad Museum in Birmingham. We had fun taking a ride on Thomas and checking out all of the fun things to do. Of course we also got to ride the smaller train that stays at the musuem year round. I think G took him to ride that train at least 10 times!! But he and Langston had a great time.

Well, to wrap things up on this very long post, we moved in late April and are working to get settled before baby Carson arrives.....which by the way is May 28th! Kind of scary of quickly this pregnancy has flown by. We are all excited and anxious to meet her and can't wait to share pictures of her with all of you!
